CHRISTUS Health in Longview named among nation’s top performers for heart attack care

CHRISTUS Heart and Vascular Institute in Longview has been recognized with the Platinum Performance Achievement Award from the American College of Cardiology's NCDR Chest Pain – MI Registry, marking the fourth consecutive year the institute has earned the prestigious national honor for excellence in treating heart attack patients.
The Platinum Performance Achievement Award is presented to hospitals that consistently meet and exceed the rigorous performance measures and benchmarks established by the American College of Cardiology for the treatment of heart attack patients. The award recognizes organizations that deliver timely, evidence-based care and achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
“Chest pain patients depend on us during some of the most frightening times of their lives, and they depend on us to act quickly, communicate effectively and provide reliable, integrated care without hesitation,” said Melissa Anderson, administrative director of nursing for cardiovascular services. “This award recognizes our ability to do exactly that consistently, safely and without hesitation.”
