Dr. George earned his Bachelor of Science at the University of Texas at Austin in Austin, TX, and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas at Houston in Houston, TX. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Texas at Houston in Houston, TX, and a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Texas at Houston in Houston, TX. Dr. Mitchell is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. George enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, skiing, sailing, and fly fishing. He was the president of the UT Water Ski Team and competed around the country.

I received post-care instructions on the day of my procedure that would have been helpful to have prior to my procedure. I was unaware that I would be pretty much incapacitated for 48 hours post-procedure and I was also not aware that I would need to wear the compression stocking for almost 2 weeks after the procedure. I also wasn't aware that there would be dietary restrictions for the day of/after procedure.
Dr. George is always very friendly and professional. I appreciated that on my initial visit he took time to explain the positives and negatives of the procedure. I could then, with his input decide whether or not to proceed. I appreciated his taking the time to explain my options.
