Meet Monesha Gupta, MD
Dr. Monesha Gupta leads a team of experts dedicated to diagnosing and caring for unborn babies with congenital heart disease (CHD). Using fetal echocardiology, Dr. Gupta will evaluate the fetus’ heart condition and determine the structure, size, function and rhythm of the unborn baby’s heart. If a fetal heart abnormality is detected, the fetal echocardiogram allows the medical team to create a plan for surgical or medical intervention. Evidence-based research shows that diagnosis of a heart condition while in utero can significantly improve a baby’s overall outcome.
Dr. Monesha Gupta received her medical degree from Grant Medical College, Mumbai University, India. She completed her pediatric residency at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She completed her pediatric cardiology fellowship in the combined program at Cornell and Columbia University in New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Gupta is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology by the American Board of pediatrics. Her special interests include multimodality imaging including transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, fetal echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and cardiac computed tomography.
