CHRISTUS St. Vincent (CSV) Health System is currently seeking medical oncologist/ hematologists to continue and strengthen our mission for the future: “to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve.” Our comprehensive regional cancer center provides cutting edge treatments, research, education and integrative medicine, enabling patients to get the best care close to home with the comfort and care of their support circles.
CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Cancer Center currently offers chemotherapy and hematology infusions, radiation treatments including HDR, IMRT and SRS with two Varian linear accelerators and an on-site lab. We have an amazing Supportive Care and Integrative Medicine team as well.
CSV Regional Cancer Center is the only cancer center north of Albuquerque and serves patients from all of Northern New Mexico, built on the principles of high-quality care, innovative approaches and dedication to a patient-centered experience. We are a proud member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, which enables full access to second opinion consults (free to patients), collaboration on difficult cases, and ability to attend Mayo’s Tumor Boards (in addition to the two comprehensive CSV tumor boards).
Team composition: Multi-disciplinary team with 5-6 physicians collaborating with 3 advanced practice clinicians (NPs and PAs).
Support services: Dietician, social workers, nurse navigation, a triage department including a pharm tech for rx refills, and an in-house prior auth team.
Patients per day: 18-20
Scheduling: New patients 45 min, follow up 15 min
Call obligations: Nights and weekends 1:4 – generally one week per month with light call volume.

Top tumor sites: Breast, prostate, GI, lung
EMR: I Know Med is the primary EMR with Epic for inpatient consults; prefer experience with Epic Beacon as we will move to this within the year.
Facility: A new, state of the art facility will open in the Fall 2024. This new comprehensive cancer center ensures patients can receive the care and support they need onsite, including imaging, lab, holistic health, and palliative/supportive. We have two strong local foundations which support to provide transportation, lodging, nonclinical support, pharmaceutical copay support, etc.
